Tired

By far the busiest day i've had in a while. I woke up at 7:30 am, arrived to my dance class at 9:25 stayed for my math class at 2 pm. Got home from school at around 3:30, had 10 minutes for some last minute grooming and got to work at 4:15. Got home at 9 and ate my only meal for the day ;--; I have my english class tomorrow at 9:30am and it's my only class so i'm pretty happy because I'll have time to complete my math homework! I sorta feel dead...
I have my hand up to cover the light from my face, or else I'd look like satan lol.

SOILED IT! SOILED IT! SOILED IT!

Last night my boyfriend treated me to Wing-Stop because I've never been there before (or Buffalo Wild Wings lol). It was all right as far as wings go, but I experienced something that tainted my pure world. At first I figured that they mistook sugar for salt lol but I found out (by asking an employee) that they actually season their fries with sugar ;--; It marked the first time, I ever saw my boyfriend... not finish his food, Eric eats everything okay!? Everything…

Just why!? How is that appealing? Fries are supposed to taste salty not sweet! They may have fooled me this time, but never again! THIS IS WRONG! I SAY GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH!

School Today

Today was the first day of the spring semester and I had my Ballet class at 9 am and Math at 2 pm (I have my English class tomorrow). My math teacher was definitely a lot different from my previous professor, which worries me a bit. He went over things very quickly today but I suppose it was just because we were ‘reviewing old material’ and I’m hoping he slows things down when we start new material on Thursday. Oh yeah, we have a quiz every class, our tests are timed, we’re not allowed to use a calculator (which disappoints me because I have a really cute pink fancy/expensive calc. that I want to use! >:o) and... and... our homework is done online which is already stupid enough but it's actually done on a shitty website that was giving me a few problems it was REALLY PISSING ME OFF!!!!

Anyways, I ended up getting a really good vibe from my dance instructor; he made the course seem like a lot of fun so I’m really excited! After both of my classes my friend and I went to a dance supply store to get our ballet slippers. Probably dressing like a ballerina will be one of the most satisfying aspects of taking the course haha.

My bed is messy, i'm sorry

Ayo Check It

Being positive is totally working out for me! (i'm being sarcastic) I got the job at Gap after 2 weeks of confusing setbacks... quite frankly I'm embarrassed but that's not what matters.

I've always wanted to work at Gap lol I know that sounds a bit odd but I really have been wanting to work there. Like all retail shops they make sure you fit well within the company and if not they'll let you go after 2-3 months so I hope I do well! I'm really not the best for speaking to strangers and selling credit cards but I'm going to go in and try my best.

But I'm Not A Rapper

First off, I know I haven't written much lately and it's because I don't have anything interesting to say. I was hoping on reviewing all the movies nominated for best picture but I've been a bit distracted. I was working on this poem for the past 3 days or so, and it's not that great or anything it's just a little something I would drop and pick back up. I hope you enjoy it!
To be beautifully spoken is what I’ve desired most
Though sadly, I am no where close
Artistically talented, worldly all around
A musician capable of an admirable sound
Mysterious, alluring, charming and polite
Instead I am obnoxious, and pretentiously uptight
A girl worthy to be mentioned of, as in Sonnet 18
So interesting, that I would have some convened
For me the idea of this is not attainable
But, regardless of my lack in all things favorable
There are a few people who like me and all my spite
Which lets me know that I’m all right

An original poem by yours truly,
Marilyn Medina

Beasts of the Southern Wild

Every year when Oscar nominations are released I like to watch the movies listed for best picture; since I have a blog this time around I want to write mini reviews for each one when I get around to it! I hope you enjoy reading my point of view, I don't go too much into the film, just a little background information and my opinion of its meaning and how it made me feel!

Beasts of the Southern Wild:
It was a good movie, not as great as Oprah exclaimed it would be, but it was good. It’s definitely one of those artsy films filled with abstract symbolism that somehow all plugs into convey a deep story. I personally find movies filmed like this one a little pretentious but aside from that, it initially told a great story. It showcased how connected people are to their surroundings as the main characters go through the struggle of maintaining a simple lifestyle after a storm washes away their secluded little town. It really shows how much love and pride comes from where you’re from and your culture. Also, the ending dialogue really got to me... I give it 8.3 on a scale from 1-10.
